Ride a Bamboo Bike through Ancient Chengdu!

Chengdu, in western China, is known for pandas who love a certain variety of Bamboo. Not just any Bamboo will do!

Bikes made of Bamboo are pretty particular as well. Our friends have handmade bicycles made of Bamboo!  These bikes and the city itself are a great combination for a day of unique fun!

You'll start where the Bamboo Bikes are made!  Abu, the master craftsman, will share the fine details.  It is not a simple task to create a Bike out of Bamboo.  So Unique!  So Beautiful! Super Strong!

After fitting the right bike for you, a fun ride ensues.  You will take in so many interesting sites in the ancient city of Chengdu.  You can choose to start at 9 AM or 2 PM any day of the week!

Child prices are available.  The youngest rider should be at least 11 to ensure a good fit.

Here are some highlights of your 3.5-hour ride through this ancient city:

Sample some Tibetan teas in the Tibetan quarter.  Try the Yak Butter tea - just think savory soup, and you will be fine. Visit cultural hot spots where you can see real Chengdu life and living.  Learn about tea houses, tea culture, and the laid-back lifestyle of the people of West China. Stops at WenShuYuan Monastery, Huaxi University, JinLi Street, Kuanzhai Alley, and TianFu Square, where one of the last statues of Mao still stands!
