Sep 17-23, 2021 This Mountain Biking Backcountry Tibet tour is designed for two-wheeled mountaineers. This shortened tour follows the first six days of of our regular Backroads of Tibet route. For more complete itinerary details please go to this page. There are riders for whom 2-3 hours of climbing is worth an hour or more of non-stop downhill single track. For these riders, when burning muscles and desperate pedal strokes are overshadowed by the seemingly futile experience of breathing, by screaming lungs gasping for one more mouthful of oxygen, their smiles get bigger and their sense of adventure grows deeper.
Participants need to arrange their transportation to arrive into Chengdu on or before AM Sep 17th, 2021. We will be happy to arrange your flights for you upon request. Tour starts with pick up in Chengdu and transfer the first day to Kangding on the Tibetan Plateau. Tour ends in Chengdu as well on Sept 23rd with a transfer to airport or a hotel if choosing to stay on longer. We highly recommend spending some time in this, the western capitol of China and can arrange lodgings upon request.
