This guided outing is not just a soft workout on two wheels, it includes a visit to an age old walled village, a mysterious tree house and an internationally recognized bird migration area.

After choosing the best fit for our bike in Yuen Long, your guide will give a briefing on the days tour ahead. They will share some cycling safety tips and then we will set out toward the Kam Tin Valley. This initial ride is around 4 KM and 30 minutes ride away. First we will cycle to Kat Hing Wai Walled village, and then onto the historic village of Shui Tau. It is here we will have 850 years of history to pore over starting with the "Mystery Tree". After this peculiar site we will visit the Old Schoolhouse Museum and Ancestral Halls. Following this, we cycle to Nam Sang Wai, an area known for its many bird species.
Continuing on we loop back to Yuen Long and the West Rail station. Here we will join in a delicious DimSum lunch. We have completed 14Km to this stage. After lunch those who have joined the half day option will depart and the rest of us will continue cycling through Yuen Long to the Fish Ponds of Tsim Bei Tsui and the border fence of China! Across the bay you will see China, while on the other side, we will ride through some of the best bird migration areas Hong Kong has to offer, situated right behind the Wetland Park.
Finally, we finish our ride, cycling to Hong Kong’s very own Wetland Park. A total of 28 km riding today! Our guide will purchase your entrance and then you are free to explore at your leisure, however we recommend you allow one hour to enjoy it. The Wetland Park closes at 5:00PM, so we will try to be there by 2:30 - 3:30PM. Transport after the Wetland Park will be suggested by our guide before he says good-bye to the the group..
Please take advantage of Hong Kong's excellent under and over ground Train network!
